Pierson is ONE!!

Pierson is now a Toddler...gulp...yes...a TODDLER!!! Where did this past year go?! We celebrated his first year with a cowboy party at our home with our family and close friends. We ate a BBQ lunch and the kids bounced in the bounce house. Pierson had the best time with everyone, but especially loved his CAKE, which I made from scratch complete with homemade peanut butter buttercream frosting. I thought it was fitting since we call him Peanut or Peanut butter baby...lol! He loved playing with the wrapped presents and curly ribbon, but wasn't to thrilled about sitting in dads lap to open them all...He is such a sweet boy! He is standing on his own and definitely on the verge of walking! He has 5 teeth and is currently getting some HUGE molars which doesn't feel too good. Motrin and origel are our BEST friends right now! Here are few pictures of the party:

Happy 7th Birthday Mason!

My oldest and incredibly smart (sometimes too smart for his own good lol) son Mason is 7! He wanted to play Laser tag this year and so that is exactly what we did! He invited 6 friends and we took them all to play laser tag at Main Event. They also got to bowl and play some games at the arcade! We ate pizza and the grandparents and his Aunt Kati stopped by just in time to sing "Happy Birthday" and eat some cake! He had a BLAST!! Not to mention all of the cool stuff he got for his birthday this year! We can NOT believe how fast the past 7 years have gone! Mason is losing his "baby" look and turning into a big KID! How did that happen? ugh! Before we know it girls will be calling and we won't be "cool" to be around anymore...
Oh Mason how we Love you!!! You are such a big helper and a GREAT big brother! You are smart, funny, and so loving...and super handsome! Daddy and I love you more than from the moon to the sea and back!
Thank you God for our precious son Mason. He is such a blessing in our lives!

Back 2 School 2010

School started back this past Tuesday. Mason is now a 2nd grader and Hudson is a Kindergartner. We had been gearing up for school the past week or so and shopping for new clothes and shoes and all of that good stuff. Mason was not excited to go back, although he is super smart and does very well, he says school is boring...hmmm...Hudson was SUPER excited to go to the Big school with his Big brother! He has the same kindergarten teacher that Mason had too! After what seemed like a unusually LONG day at home with out them, Kyle and I were anxiously waiting in the driveway for the school bus to unload our precious babies! And there they came, running down to us with big smiles on their faces. Hudson was a chatty Kathy telling us all of the cool things he had gotten to do and how excited he was to go back the next day! So, we look over at a silent Mason and we ask him how his day was and he says...ummm good...only a little boring! HA! How different our boys are! I surprised them with warm chocolate chip cookies that I made before they got home, and we all sat at the table and talked about our days. It's so sweet to listen to their interpretations of things and the littlest details they remember. Sometimes Kyle and I just look at eachother and smile and we know what eachother is thinking at that moment...How so very blessed we are that God gave us these precious boys to raise. And how much we love them and love eachother is unmeasurable. Being the mom to my three boys is the BEST thing I have ever done in my life! I love every bit of it!!

Our baby boy is 9 months old! I thank God everyday for such an awesome baby! He really is the BEST!! He has 2 1/2 teeth and likes to use them...lol! He is crawling and almost pulling up. He loves to snack on cheerios and banana slices and LOVES playing with his brothers on the floor!

Thank you God for this precious child that you have blessed our family with!

Country Boys

We took a short trip this weekend to just past Glen Rose, Texas...That is where my dad lives on 46 acres of land...It really is beautiful! My grandfather bought the land when I was a little girl and I remember going out there alot as I grew up. Kyle and I even got married there almost 9 years ago!
The boys had so much fun exploring, fishing, riding around on the golf cart, and hanging out with Grandpa (my dad). At one point Hudson saw me packing up our things and says "mom...are we leaving today?"...and I said "yes honey in a couple of hours..." and then he says, "awwww...I don't want to leave!...This is better than XBOX!" ahahahaha! I couldn't control my laughter! I thought, well...he must really be having a great time to say that! The boys packed their DS's and didn't play them once! It was so nice to see them playing and exploring and not getting bored AT ALL!! They are definitely all BOY!! Their hands and clothes were filthy 5 minutes after we got there...They did slow down for a few minutes for me to take a couple of pictures atleast! My dad took us down to the Paluxy river and the boys had so much fun sliding on the rocks and playing in the water. Pierson and I were just onlookers because I was afraid that we'd bust something on those slick rocks. BUT I think Pierson had just as much fun, although he can't say it yet! My grandma and aunt just ooo'd and aww'd over him the whole time and when he would smile they would just laugh and tell him how cute he is..lol! Here a couple of pictures from this weekend...I always say to the boys...we are making memories!

Hudson's Graduation

Hudson graduated from PreSchool yesterday! It was so cute to see all of the little kids dressed in their caps and gowns. Hudson was the cutest, of course. :o)

When he was walking across the stage the teacher read a little bio on him.

It was cute to hear that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up. I often think about my boys personalities and try to predict what they will be like as adults and what career they will choose and so on...I do think Hudson may do something in engineering, because he loves to build and is very imaginative, but I also think a police officer or another type of authority figure would fit him because he LOVES to "correct" people when they are wrong...haha. He often corrects Mason and then explains the consequences, which is hilarious to hear! Mason always follows up with ...You are not my boss Hudson!!...

I can't believe how fast these past 5 years have gone and I just know the next 13 will fly by and there will be my baby...walking across that stage getting his High School diploma. I would say that I do my best at trying to cherish every moment with my boys, but somehow it still seems like it's not enough! I definitely do not want to look back on their childhood and have any regrets! I hope that when my boys are grown that they can say that they had the best chilldhood and the best Mom!

We are so Proud of Hudson and we love him more than words could ever express!

I can't believe that my 2nd baby is 5!! It seems like just yesterday they were handing me this sweet little chubby cheeked bright eyed bundle. Hudson is an amazing little boy! I've been told by his teachers that he is very studious in class. He loves to sing every word and dance to his favorite songs. He loves playing outside with his buddies and loves to play sports and wrestle anytime! I would definitely say that he is ALL boy! He loves to build with his legos and he is very imaginative when playing with his cars and action figures. He loves Books and can already read a little! He is such a joy and can always make us smile...

Six Months

Pierson is 6 months old now! He weights 17lb 11oz and is 28in tall. He is such a cool baby. He loves to blow raspberries and babble. He loves to roll around all over the floor and adores kisses from our dog Hank! He thinks his big brothers are so fun to watch and he likes for us to sing to him. He also enjoys when I read him a book and loves to look at all of the bright colors on the page. No teeth yet, but he sure is working on them! Everything goes into the mouth!! I love watching him grow and learn and it melts my heart to see how much he adores his daddy...I hate to admit it, but I think he is turning into a Daddy's boy...

Mason is this six weeks Magnificent Mustang for his 1st grade class! He has been trying super hard to stay on green daily and make great choices. Well, his hard work has paid off! I got the call from his teacher on Wednesday, telling us about the awards ceremony on Friday morning, and she went on to say how hard Mason has worked this six weeks, his good manners, and how well he is doing in school. We are all so proud of our Magnificent Mustang!! YAY MASON!!! ROCK ON BUDDY!!!

Pierson is 5 months old today! I can't believe how fast it is going by...Why can't pregnancy go by this quickly?! LOL!! Pierson is growing and changing and learning so much! I love to watch his eyes light up when he sees his brothers walk over to him and talk to him. He is teething...so along with that comes the drool...and the chewing on anything and everything...and a little bit of fussiness. BUT even through the fussiness he is still smiling! I am so THANKFUL for such precious boys!!! God is so good!!

since Pierson was born and I CAN'T believe it!! Honestly....where does the time go? Pierson is such a wonderful baby boy and we all adore him! His gorgeous blue eyes and crooked little smile are enough to make you melt. He loves to listen to music and watch American Idol (yes..he will actually turn his whole body around to watch the contestants sing). He is so mellow and is super aware of his surroundings! He is now eating oatmeal like a big boy and will say...mmmm...with every bite! He loves to smile and coo and go for walks in the sunshine! He also loves to stare at our dog Hank and laughs a little when Hank licks his toes. He definitely has become quite the entertainer swinging himself back and forth and bouncing in his Jumperoo! I just can't get enough of him and I get so excited in the morning to see his beautiful sleepy eyed face. Kyle fights me to be the first one to pick him up in the morning because he still scrunches his legs up and stretches his little arms out and it's absolutely adorable! Kyle calls it "scrunchy butt"...lol! He went for his 4 month check up with Dr. Edwards today and he now weighs 14 pounds 6 oz and is 25 inches long...Can you tell that we all just adore him?!?! He is such a wonderful piece to our little Family!

Snow Much Fun

The boys had so much fun playing in the foot of snow we had! I have never experienced that much snow in Texas in my life! It was so beautiful to look out of our windows and only see white! Everything looks so much more beautiful covered in snow. Mason & Hudson had a snowball fight, we built a big snowman (which is not as easy as it looks btw), and made snow angels. I loved watching them just run and fall face first in the snow. Mason also tried to turn his skateboard into a snowboard, but as you may have guessed that didn't turnout so well....What a memorable time we had! oh, and Pierson was not as excited about the cold snow as you can see, he was ready to go back inside the warm house!

I can't believe how the time has just flown by! Pierson had his 2 month check up at 10 weeks and is already 11 pounds 9 ozs and 23 inches long. He is tracking perfect on the growth charts! He is smiling and cooing like crazy and is definitely already a mammas boy. Surprise Surprise...well, I am his food source...lol! He loves watching Mason and Hudson wrestle with daddy on the floor and I know before too long he will be right there with them! He continues to be an awesome baby and I can already tell that he has a mellow personality and just fits right into our family like he has always been here! We all adore and love him so much!

Pierson is 7 weeks old already! I can't believe it!! It has gone by so fast, as it always does. Pierson has changed so much in the past 7 weeks. He is now cooing and smiling so much, melting all of our hearts :o)

Big Brothers Mason and Hudson are still so much in love and are such a big help to mama. I will definitely say that in my opinion going from 2 to three kids is a BREEZE! It was way harder for me going from 1 to 2 kids. I love having our home filled with the sounds of our happy kids and we are already thinking about #4 :o) Yes...I know that we are crazy...lol! I love being a mom and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my babies!!! We all had a wonderful Christmas and are excited to see what great things 2010 will bring!

Our baby boy Pierson Daniel made his way into our world Thursday November 12, 2009 at 5:30pm. He weighed 6 pounds and 5 ounces. He was 19 3/4 inches long. We were scheduled for a C-section on the morning of the 17th, but Pierson wanted to make his entrance early. I went for my regular 38 week check up and was in early labor, so off to L&D we went. My Doctor was laughing because he grabbed onto her scrubs and was grabbing the suction tool when he came out. I guess...he knows that he's going to have to be a fighter being the third brother :o) He is so precious and we are all so in love with him already. Mason and Hudson get so excited to hold him each day and are adjusting to having him around very well. We love our new family of five!

Today was so beautiful and the boys were dressed alike in their Cowboys jerseys for our new series at church called "The Fan" so I decided to take some fall pictures of them...I think they turned out great, and I didn't have to take 100 pictures of them just to get a couple of good ones either...lol! I love my Beautiful Boys and I can't wait to add another :o)

COOKIES

So one of our neighbors decided to throw a block party on Saturday afternoon/evening. They have put together a mini fall carnival including a bounce house, face painting, and a clown. All of the neighbors are supposed to bring a dish to share. SO...I decided to bring Halloween cookies. I thought the boys would have a lot of fun making them and decorating them...and they DID! We made the dough, rolled it out, cut out shapes, baked them, let them cool, then we decorated them with glaze and chocolate chips. The boys both really loved the decorating part because inbetween each cookie they would scarf the chocolate chips. The only regret I have is that I didn't make more...after they were all done we only had one left over to share and they were so good we probably could've eaten a whole dozen...lol!!

Makes you want to have a cookie now doesn't it?? lol!!

5 more WEEKS!!!

Okay, so as of today we only have 5 more weeks until our scheduled C-section to meet baby Pierson. This pregnancy has seemed so L-O-N-G...and between losing my only sister, Kyle's job problems and pay cut, car problems with both of our cars, and being HUGE throughout this long HOT summer sure didn't help the situation any at all. I was really at the end of my rope with all of these issues our family has faced within the past 2 months, but then on Monday night I went to FLAVOUR, our womens group at church. And you know when you hear a sermon and you just sit there and think...WOW...s/he must be talking directly to me, they must have some sort of outlet to see directly into my life right now...well this happened to me on Monday night. Lisa Young said that she ALWAYS knows when GOD is about to do something completely amazing in their life because suddenly struggles arrise everywhere and life gets harder. So, I just sat there and thought...so that is what is going on...GOD is about to do something totally amazing in our lives!! So I was sharing this with Kyle on Tuesday morning and he says...well yes, we ARE about to bring a new life in the world and that IS a MIRACLE Ash. He is so right! I was so busy thinking about what a long and emotional journey this pregnancy has been that I never stopped to think that we are about to experience a miracle...The miracle of Life! I know all of the joy and smiles this little baby is about to bring into our family will definitely be worth it. Thank you Lord for this healthy baby boy that we are about to bring into this world, may you help us guide and raise him with your direction always. AMEN.

So today we went to our final 3D sonogram to see Pierson. Visions of Love Ultrasound in Denton does a "watch me grow" package and you get to really see how much your baby changes throughout your pregnancy. It is amazing, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is pregnant. It really gets you through the rough parts of being pregnant. Which as you know, this pregnancy has been the roughest of all three of them. Anyway, baby Pierson was sleeping most of the time and had his hand in front of his face, then had his ankles crossed and in front of his face. We did end up getting a few good shots after I downed a cold bottle of water. We still can't decide who he looks like more. In some pictures he looks like Mason, but in others he looks like Hudson. I guess we will see in 45 days!! Yay!!

I have never been one to take pictures during my pregnancies. I feel terrible and I feel like I don't look my best when I'm pregnant so it just was never something that I wanted to do. BUT when my friend Rachel was pregnant she talked me into it, so I gave it a try this time. Here are some of the best shots that we got...The first one is my favorite!

Fall Flower Beds...DONE!!

My mom and I went shopping yesterday for supplies to do my Fall flowerbeds. Garden Ridge had all of their pottery on sale at 50-75% off, so I grabbed 2 big pots to put mums in. I decided to do pots of mums instead of plant them into the ground because I do not have a green thumb and I find it easier to keep plants alive in pots. (Yes, even with a sprinkler system I have issues with plants staying alive.) We stopped at an outside plant place on Denton Hwy and found 2 huge mums on the verge of blooming and several pumpkins. I bought a pumpkin for each of us and, even a tiny baby one for Pierson. The boys thought the baby pumpkin was so cute. My friend Rachel came over later that afternoon and helped me pull out all of the summer flowers and put my Fall stuff out. Even though today it's in the 90's outside, technically it is still Fall!! Maybe I'm in hopes that Mother Nature will be inspired by all of the Fall decore and give us back cooler Fall weather...lol!

Blogging for Dummies

So this is my first blog ever and I am going to try not to disappoint you. I wouldn't say I am a good writer, but after the inspiration of my MOPS (mother's of preschoolers) table blogs I am going to try! This is mainly so friends and family can get a glimpse into our life hopefully on a daily basis...maybe more of a weekly basis...we will see! And well, if this blog is the worst blog on the planet or it just fizzles out...hmmm...atleast I tried right!
So I have spent most of my morning trying to figure out how to set up a snazzy background, thanks to suggestions from my friends at MOPS it surprisingly wasn't that difficult to just click on the tab at the top of their page and just follow directions! It was trying to figure out which one I wanted that was the most time consuming. Of course, I chose a FALL theme! If you know me then you know that I LOVE the fall and the holiday season! I get excited about it every year! I am even more excited about it this year as we will be welcoming a new baby boy into our family on November 17th. Why do I love FALL?? hmmm...well...I love the cooler weather, the colors, the pumpkins, the beautiful mums everyone puts out, the smell of the air, family gatherings, warm tea on a brisk morning, Thanksgiving turkey and homemade food, the clothes, taking the kids to the pumpkin patch, hayrides, kettle corn, baking desserts....and so much more!!
I am so glad it's FALL!!!
